Religious Education Inspection

Our last RE Inspection was in December 2017.

We were very pleased to receive an oustanding judgement again, which we feel accurately reflects the provision made for RE in St. Joseph's Catholic primary School. Our Catholic faith is at the heart of all that we do.

Some of the comments from the inspection report, included:

  • St Joseph's is a welcoming and inclusive Catholic school. Its outstanding Catholic life and religious education is firmly centred on the school mission in action which strives to provide the very best outcomes for its pupils.
  • The overall effectiveness as a Catholic school is outstanding. Consequently, pupils are able to thrive and enjoy their learning.
  • Pupils enjoy coming to school. They are eager to learn and experience a stimulating and rich curriculum within an atmosphere of love, trust and security.
  • Pupils are immensely proud of their school. This is reflected in their positive attitudes, exemplary behaviour and the way they express their Catholic identity.
  • Chaplaincy support is excellent. The parish priest visits school regularly and knows the school well.
